Overview
- Our mission is to prevent catastrophic loss of lives and mitigate weather related losses which amount to billions of dollars every year
- We will use our proprietary technology which has been proven on International Space Station for 3D cloud and wind measurements
- Our technology has won NASA awards and received over $100 million in development funding in the U.S.
- We will provide the data products for earlier, reliable and more accurate weather forecasts to Canadian and global governments, and industries including air, maritime, agriculture and insurance
- In accurately predicting adverse events the weather can inflict around the globe we are building the products that would save time, money and catastrophic damage to our users and customers
Critical Gaps in Weather Observation Cost Thousands of Lives and Billions of Dollars
What happens at the poles, doesn’t stay at the poles! Measurements above 55 deg are important and covered by our solution
Observing Polar Regions
High-Inclination Orbit Allows Repeated Observations of Polar Regions Throughout the Day.
What about satellites, weather balloons and Doppler radar?
- Geo Satellites only provide 2-Dimensional measurement and lack vertical wind measurements
- Weather balloons take very sparse (on a global scale), in-situ data, only fly twice per day and don’t fly at the poles
- Doppler radar has limited range, and covers very little area of the poles and open oceans
